Mei Dong started MYT Shutters to create beautiful, timeless window furnishings that would provide a bridge between her Chinese roots and contemporary Western design.
The initials MYT are derived from the Chinese characters 美宜通. They symbolise the beauty and elegance of shutters and the harmony they bring to our homes. Additionally, the initials connect Mei’s name with her daughter’s name thus providing a link from the past and into the future.

Our Timber shutters are designed to suit every window and create the look you want. They are available in a wide range of colours and styles, and are distinguished by quality, paint, and finish.
Polymer shutters
Our Polymer shutters are visually indistinguishable from Timber. They have a natural look and feel, are water resistant and are crafted from premium non-toxic Polymer. Therefore, they are the best choice for humid spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens.
Aluminium shutters
Strong, durable, resistant to water and high temperatures. Our Aluminium shutters are perfect for any outdoor space. They are robust without compromising on elegance.
